Rangers get a boost as Kreider is cleared

Rangers forward Chris Kreider, who has yet to play in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs because of a fractured left hand, has been medically cleared to play, according to coach Alain Vigneault.
Vigneault would not say whether Kreider will make his 2014 post-season debut in Game 4 against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, however.
The Rangers trail in the series 2-1.
Kreider, who had a terrific 17-goal, 37-point regular season, could also give the ailing power-play a boost with his strong net-front presence.
The Rangers have been stopped on 34 straight attempts with the man-advantage.
