Trojans RB Isaac to transfer after release

USC Trojans tailback Ty Isaac has been released from his scholarship and an athletic department official confirmed Wednesday that he will transfer.
Isaac had just finished his freshman year at USC where he gained 236 yards on 40 carries with two touchdowns during the 2013 season.
He had been limited during recent spring drills due to injury and was listed as the primary backup behind co-starters Buck Allen and Tre Madden on the end-of-spring depth chart released by USC coach Steve Sarkisian.
Isaac is expected to transfer to a school closer to his Midwest home.
Catholic Academy where he set a school record with 5,305 career rushing yards and he chose USC over such traditional area powers as Michigan and Notre Dame.
