Whitley called up

With CC Sabathia having joined Michael Pineda and Ivan Nova on the disabled list, the Yankees have a hole in their rotation starting Thursday.
   They will fill said hole with prospect Chase Whitley, reports Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com.
   Whitley, 24, entered this season with just eight career starts in 144 minor-league appearances.
   The good start to the season is turning some heads in the scouting community, though Whitley has never been a hyped prospect by any stretch.
   Still, at least for the time being, Whitley joins Vidal Nuno and David Phelps behind Masahiro Tanaka and Hiroki Kuroda in the Yankees' rotation.
