MRI says no damage on Votto's knee; may avoid DL

The Reds have had a pretty rough year when it comes to injuries, and it initially appeared things were about to get worse.
All-Star first baseman Joey Votto didn't make the trip with the team to Philadelphia for a weekend series, as he is got an MRI on his left knee.
The left knee would be the same one that Votto needed to have surgery on to repair torn meniscus in 2012.
But here's where we'll update things, because the MRI revealed no structural damage, the Reds told reporters: So it's still possible Votto goes on the DL eventually, but he may avoid a trip there.
Needless to say, none of these options sounds even close to Votto at first and Frazier at third.
