De Jonge matches Quail Hollow course record with 62

CBS Sports 70+ SHARES •

Brendon de Jonge was on fire on Friday.
Brendon de Jonge shot a tournament-worst 80 on Thursday and sat in last place after Peter Hanson, who also shot 80, withdrew.
He went out and gave himself an 18-foot putt on the last hole for a course-record 61.
De Jonge missed it but still tied the course record (held by Rory McIlroy) of 62. Here's a look at his scorecard from Thursday: No birdies on Thursday and no bogeys on Friday.
